There may be people who have more talent than you, but there's no excuse for anyone to work harder than you do - and I believe that.

Baseball gives every

American boy a chance to

excel, not just to be as good as someone else but to be better than someone else.

This is the nature of man and the name of

the game.

Every day is a new opportunity. You can build on yesterday's success or put its failures behind and start over again. That's the way life is, with a new game every day, and that's the way baseball is.

An Insomniacs Dream - Viewed from www.kwbaseball.com

Intro from "An Insomniacs Dream" Article

I've had the priviledge of being around Jake Gronsky the past 10 years and he has taught me a lot more than he thinks about life and baseball during our years working together. I'm grateful he took the time to put down his throughts on what it takes to succeed on and off the field. He brings a unique perspective to what it's like to be a "grinder". I'm proud of everything he has accomplished to date and look forward to seeing him continue to advance his career and impact others along the way.

Coach John Scolinos' 1996 ABCA Convention Speech

Coach Scolinos' speech at the 1996 ABCA convention hits the nail right on the head.  Accountability to our kids, and no consequences for failing to meet standards. Coach Scolinos discusses baseball as it relates to life itself and how we as a society have widened the plate to accommodate those who are not up to the tasks.
